First is the flat-shaped lighting tempered glass. The processing of this type of glass is relatively simple. It mainly involves cutting, edge grinding and other pre-treatment of the flat glass before sending it to the tempering furnace for tempering. Due to the regular shape, the heating and heat dissipation of each part of the glass are relatively uniform during the heating and cooling process, so the tempering effect is relatively stable, and the probability of deformation or self-explosion is low. However, for some flat lighting tempered glass with extremely high flatness requirements, each link still needs to be strictly controlled during the processing process, such as cutting accuracy, edge grinding quality, and the temperature and time parameters of the tempering furnace.
The processing difficulty of arc-shaped lighting tempered glass is significantly increased. When making arc-shaped glass, it is necessary to heat the flat glass to a softened state first, and then use a specific mold to bend it into the desired arc. This process requires extremely high control of the heating temperature and time. Too high or too low temperature, too long or too short heating time may cause the glass to break during the bending process or fail to achieve the ideal arc. Moreover, during the tempering process of curved glass, due to the different thicknesses and shapes of each part, the heating and heat dissipation conditions will also be different, which is prone to uneven stress, thus affecting the strength and safety of tempered glass.
The processing of special-shaped lighting tempered glass is the most complicated. The shapes of special-shaped glass are strange and may contain multiple irregular curved surfaces and corners. During the processing, it is necessary to first make an accurate mold according to the design drawings, and then heat and soften the glass and put it into the mold for molding. Due to the complex shape of special-shaped glass, the design and production of the mold is difficult, and the molding process of the glass in the mold is also difficult to accurately control, which is prone to defects such as deformation and cracks. In addition, the tempering treatment of special-shaped glass also faces many challenges. How to ensure that the stress of each part of the glass is evenly distributed during the tempering process is the key to improving the quality of special-shaped lighting tempered glass.
From the perspective of processing technology, flat-shaped glass mainly adopts conventional cutting, edging and tempering processes; in addition to conventional processes, curved glass also needs to add bending and molding processes; special-shaped glass requires more innovation and optimization in mold making and molding processes. Moreover, the equipment and tools used in the processing of different shapes of glass are also different. For example, the molding of curved and special-shaped glass requires special bending equipment and molds, and the cost of these equipment and molds is high, which also increases the difficulty and cost of processing.
In terms of quality control, different shapes of lighting tempered glass also have different requirements. Flat glass mainly focuses on flatness, dimensional accuracy and tempered strength; in addition to the above requirements, curved glass also needs to check the accuracy and uniformity of the curvature; special-shaped glass requires strict inspection of the shape, size and stress distribution of each irregular part. Due to the difficulty of inspecting special-shaped glass, more advanced inspection equipment and methods are required, which further increases the difficulty and cost of processing.
There are great differences in the processing technology and difficulty of lighting tempered glass with different shapes and designs. The processing of flat glass is relatively simple, the processing difficulty of curved glass increases, and the processing of special-shaped glass is the most complicated. In actual production, it is necessary to select appropriate processing technology and equipment according to different modeling requirements, and strictly control the quality of each link to ensure the production of lighting tempered glass that meets the requirements.
